Chinese Search Engine Giant Releases Latest AI Model

On Friday, Baidu, the Chinese search engine giant, introduced its latest artificial intelligence model, Ernie 4.5 Turbo.

Despite rising competition in the Chinese AI sector, it is speeding up AI product offerings. It also introduced its new reasoning model, Ernie X1 Turbo, which is now the talk of the town (the world, actually)

Billionaire creator Robin Li told a developer conference in Wuhan that the 4.5 Turbo is 80% less expensive than its predecessor, while the X1 Turbo, Baidu's equivalent to DeepSeek, is half the price. Baidu's stock gained more than 5% in Hong Kong on Friday.

🚗 Tesla Begins Testing Full Self-Driving!

Targeting an initial set of workers, Tesla has launched a test run of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) supervised ride-hailing service in Austin, Texas, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The service has now accumulated 15,000 miles (24,140 km) and made more than 1,500 journeys.

By incorporating technologies like car allocation and remote assistance, this trial seeks to improve Tesla's self-driving network.

Somalia's Unbelievably Profitable Pirate Stock Exchange

In 2009, a town in Somalia started a real “Pirate Stock Exchange.”

Locals could invest money, weapons, or supplies to help pirates hijack ships. If the pirates got a ransom, investors got a share of the money.

Some people made tens of thousands of dollars in just weeks. The town saw new cars and buildings… thanks to pirate profits. But it was risky and illegal, and the government eventually cracked down.

Today, piracy in the area is way down, and the Pirate Stock Exchange is gone.

When there are no jobs or laws, people can get creative, even if it means investing in pirates!

A Group Called “Everyone Hates Elon”

A group called Everyone Hates Elon is making waves in London with cheeky, fake ads and wild stunts aimed at Elon Musk.

Their pranks include plastering the city with posters mocking Musk and Tesla, sneaking parody ads onto buses, and even turning a Tesla into a “rage room” where people could smash the car with sledgehammers, all in the name of poking fun at Musk’s political meddling and massive wealth.

Their message is simple and very British: call out billionaires, make people laugh, and show that activism doesn’t have to be boring.

As one organizer puts it, “We can’t outspend Musk, but we know we’re funnier than him”.

Because in 2025, privacy is just a setting you ignore, and your “audience” is always tuned in
